about the author
Miranda D Nelson was born and raised in California, though she now lives in Utah where she survives the long winter months by constantly wearing sweats. That and never leaving her house.
She went to college at BYU-Idaho, where she met her husband who puts up with all her nonsense. Her four children, however, are a little less tolerant of the songs she makes up and her (oh so hilarious) jokes. Somehow, she finds time to write between diaper changes, doing dishes and cleaning up the same ten toys twelve times a day.
As if creating people, both fictional and real, isn’t enough, she also enjoys reading, camping, hiking, crafting, and growing a “freaking awesome” garden with her husband every year. She firmly believes chocolate should be its own food group and that you can never have too many cute mugs.
Miranda’s obsession with Regency romance began with a certain Mr. Darcy (I’m looking at you, Colin Firth), and has grown exponentially with each foray into the genre. Paired with her life-long desire to write books, she weaves character driven love stories that will warm your heart and make you smile. While she hopes her books will make you swoon, she guarantees they’re sweet enough to never leave you blushing.
"When I first saw this book, I thought, "Oh! Another sappy, cheesy regency romance!" While I'm not opposed to those, (Obviously, because I chose to read the book) I was surprised just how much depth this book had. The characters are relatable and it wasn't your typical predictable plot. I found myself crying a couple of times while reading. I was absolutely drawn in from start to finish. Loved everything about it. This is the first time I've read a book by this author and now I can't wait to binge all the other books she's written."
